Just letting everyone know that there is a new LS1 specific connecting rod available!!
Designed and produced with engieering and finishing advancements, CompStar connecting rods have what it takes to make your enginebuild trouble free and your finished product reliable. Produced from heat treated and stress rerelived 4340 material, CompStar rods are fully machined with a shot blasted stress riser free surface. Every detail of this highly stressed component has been carefully analyzed to maximize repeatabilty and dependability. See for yourself why CompStar can inprove your bottom line and reputation.
  • retorque processing ensures full burnished and seated threads and bolt spot face areas: resulting in consistent assembly sizing
  • Stroker clearance that is designed into each rod
  • ARP 2000 bolts carefully positioned fastener supporting gussets
  • Large outbaord mating face contact area
  • Fully detailed and prepped parting lines and bearing tab pockets
  • Consistantly fianl sized within a .0003 tolerance on the advanced Sunnen Cross grinding system
  • Weight matched to within 2 grams

AKA Eagle rebadged?

I doubt a shop with connections in the Detroit area would push off-shore rods. I am guessing Chris is hooked up with a local forger.

Anything is possible Ed, but there are plenty of forging sources in the Motor City area.

Edc is right! They are a offshore forging. They are machined by Callies. Almost all of your forgings today are being done in the far east. This is not a rebadgeed Eagle, these rods are of a higher qaulity than the Eagles.
