Vince - Off topic, but what size injectors do you use for your setup and are they maxed out?

I would say if your running anything on the street over 11.0 CR I would use NGK TR6 Plugs.

Yes.. I forgot to mention I run TR6 plugs as well and if you plan to go really high on the compression I would run even colder plugs..

I ran 12.5 to 1 on 93 octane with 28 deg of total advance. No problems. NO KR.

It must be the cold weather up there I have less than 12.0 to 1 compression and on a hot day I detonate on 93 octane with 28 degree's of timing. When I say hot I mean 90 plus degree's out..

Right now I am below 12.0:1 compression and I honestly think with the timing tuner I could run 13.5:1 compression with the timing reduced to like 15 to 18 on pump gas with no detonation, but for racing I could run race gas and put the timing up to 28 degree's and be fine..

The question is how radical do you want to go? My car with 13.5:1 compression and race gas would make some SERIOUS power and with reduced timing on pump gas I would still make between 530-550rwhp. Honestly I dont know why many do not do this.. I thought of this idea when FMS was building the SS, but I was afraid to be the pioneer. Maybe one day I will grow some ***** and go back and let Allan do what he really wanted to do
Vince - That line of thought about running lower timing and HIGH compression is VERY interesting. I wonder how much compression could be got away with on pump gas by just lowering timing. Were the 13.5:1 and 15-18 degrees of timing something you just spit out or were those numbers you and Allan talked about?

A "variable" naturally aspirated engine.
