Joe Prince(JPR) built my motor on the TOP HALF, and he seems to think MAYBE a rod bolt let go on me as well. He never touched the bottom half, but right now I am wishing I had more money then and I would have had him dig his hands around there too. I am SCREWED right now. What is MTI's special this month? I'm in the same boat you guys are in pretty much (cracked piston ring and probably more damage to the cylinder wall), and I want to go with a 382. MTI quoted me $5900 for the honed block, crank, rods, pistons. I got another offer from someone $4500 for honed block, crank, rods, pistons, and a custom cam.

So what is MTI's special??

Tell me more about the $4500 deal, what internals? Who is it through? Any core charges?
