Weight difference?

Whats the weight difference between the alum and iron block? Thanks

yea something like that...i'm sure you can search google or something and you could find the weight differences....

I've "heard" it was more like 110 lbs. but thats just hearsay.

"Valvegod", who sells and ships both, says there is 107lbs difference, between a LS1 block and a 6.0 block, both with main caps and bolts....

its 93 lbs for just the block alone. with mains and bolts i wouldnt know.

The LS1 block is made of 319 aluminum heat-treated to the T5 standard by the Montupet Corporation of Ontario, Canada. It is cast using the semi-permanent mold technique which Juriga described as "....a cross between die-casting and sand-casting." The case weighs 107 lb. Compared to the Gen III's 210.4 lb. block, that’s a significant weight saving
