I've done them for about 250 a pop(cam/springs) here in lubbock in my garage...

$300 quoted from distortion_69 on this board for cam package/oil pump/double roller install. I'll be driving 6 hrs. to see him, that's how good the price is and how reputable he is. Every other shop nearby couldn't break $1500 for the install alone.

See if you can find a reliable person to do it for you. I got cam,a spring package, and pushrods installed for $350. That price also included recharging of my A/C (which will be coming out) and fluids needed.
