I think Reboot and gtodoug has it nailed. I would look at those two things..

When I installed my ported throttle body, the idle adjustment screw was turned too far out. I guess the PCM had to adjust for that. Once I turned it back in a few turns, the problem went away. If your throttle plate has not been drilled out, this would have the same effect ... too much air in at idle (IMHO).
