Whats even worse is I think that I AM THE CURSE. I brought my heads to Jay after JPR. They were supposed to be LS6 S2 from JPR. The car made 504 rwhp. After I had motor problems I decided to have the heads upgraded. Jay charged me $1500 to make them his S3 heads with new valves. He reused my springs. I added a 90 mm intake and tb. Most people see 20 rwhp gain on high HP motors and I was hoping for the same.
Old setup 504 rwhp.
Changed from A4 to A3.
Added 90mm intake and TB
Added LS6 absolute heads.
Net result===== I lost 10 rwhp. That seems kinda shaddy and crappy.

I wonder if Jay even did any port work on them. I am dissappointed in the results of his heads and work. I guess I should leave the LS1 scene and let you guys have the good stuff. This sucks. Bear

Dang man, sorry to hear that. You got taken again. I think I got lucky with FFHP. I only spent a couple of hundred more than you for my heads, and that includes the castings and an excellent CNC program. Of course it sucks to have one pair of heads when I actually bought two lol. I've had to buy many parts twice to build one freaking motor. I honestly trust no one anymore. I just went with the one (and only) shop that I never heard a bad thing about. Alot of these people aren't true hot rodders. A true gearhead doesn't mess with another guys car like that and blow him off once he takes the guys money.

Do some searching for "Joe Prince" or JPR... people were saying the same thing about him for a while too. There is NO excuse to keep so much of other peoples money tied up for so long. It is completely unacceptable, unethical, and in many places illegal.

Bear I lost 80 rwhp from my a4 to a3 swap. If you want to properly compare hp gains then dont do so many mods all at once. was your a4 locked? was the a3 locked? what size converters were in the 2 different trannys. Im not here to defend Jay I just think you are being mislead by numbers. If your tranny swap took away 50hp then you still gained alot.

everyone who is awaiting heads has a right to be pissed and to bash away.

I hear ya Mike. I dont think that 80 rwhp is a realistic number to lose. Plus I should have gained some from the intake, tb, bigger cubes and Jays S3 heads over JPR S2's. I am hoping that the track numbers reflect my goals, THATS THE BOTTOM LINE.

I got really lucky and got my heads mere weeks before Jay just said **** It! My intake valve is longer than my exhaust vavle just not as drastic as the pic a few posts up. Heads make power, but I'd FOR ******* SURE give my money to someone else if I could do it all over again. There is ABSOLUTEly no excuse for treating people as he has all the while haveing there 1500 bucks. He overcharged me and I had to go through my CC company to get my money back after 2.5 months of Jay's excuses and false claims that he would take care of it. I feel really bad for the guys that got screwed on the deal. Road Trip anyone?

I agree with you mike.
The tranny could have cost some HP.
I also believe we all agree that Jays heads work real well.
My problem is stock heads work better then the heads I have recieved from Jay. I dont care if they flow 500 CFM's through the intake if you never recieve them they do no good.
I felt Jay was a friend, but I have no friends that would do what he is doing to me. I have completly lost respect for him.
I wouldn't have even cared if he used my money to get something else started as long as he would have continued talking to me via email, Pm or over the phone. I know he could save some money if he shut his cell phone off since he never has it turned on.
I know you guys are friends, what does he say to you?
You have to bring it up every once and a while I'm sure.

Does he really plan on fulfilling orders, or is this all just BS?
I spoke with someone last week from Rev and they said their valves have been shipping out and aren't on backorder.
If this is true then their should be no more excuses.
Give us some updates if possible.

Do you know for a fact that he's done this? Has he actually moved to Mexico or some other foreign country? He's got a lot of my money and I haven't had any contact with him in three months now. I've got a lot of people out looking for him but there have been no confirmed sightings in a while now. If someone locates him, how about attaching some type of beacon on him so we can find him. I'd kinda like to "chat" with him.
