What makes a cam "lope?"
High overlap (lumpy, lope, sounds like it runs like **** and gunna die): Blub-BLUB-blub-blub, Blub-blub-BLUB-Blub ... BLUB-blub-blub-BLUB
At least, that's the way I understand it. I had a higher overlap Gen 1 383. My engine builder called it a "3/4 race cam."
Overlap= (intake duration+exhaust duration/2)-(lsa x2)
For example: a 224/224 114lsa is
224+224=448
448/2=224
114x2= 228
Therefore overlap= 224-228
Overlap=-4*

On a 111 it gots to be choppy but notice the low lift...
I want to hear this cam myself really bad. On Tooley website a customer wrote this however....
"i have this cam installed in my 2000 Silverado 5.3 with 245k miles on it.this cam with a fast 92mm TB and nnbs intake swap with injectors made 352 hp on dynojet. and has an awesome choppy idle."
