Default a tapping on driver side

I have a tapping on driverside, it sounds like valvetrain but, it quiets down after driving a bit, not stops noise just quiets. What do you guys think I am looking at?

Do you have headers? Often unrestricted, the exaust flow down the tube to the AIR pump (big thick black rubber hose on the drivers side) makes a ticking noise thats pretty audible. pinch the tube and see if you can feel the ticking. We used to use a Dr.Pepper can for aluminum and make a restrictor "plate" a few layers thick.

That is what I was hoping, after reading the posts from other people who have had a similar prob. I listened to it again and the sound is definately radiating from the area of the driver's side valve cover area. It actually just sounds like increase valvetrain noise on that side. Thank you for your reply and the quickness in which it was given.
