Lunati 230/237 weird cam !
since my mind is up side down for 4 months now .. wondering which cam to choose on my stock ls1 heads .. headers ls6 intake manifolds and 80 TB and a cutouts, Automatic tranny.. the final candidates are G1 (MTI) 228 232 575/588 113 , TR224/224 563/563 114 , Lunati 230/237 544/543 114
the G1 cam is out of the competition it is between the TR224 and the Lunati
am worried about the Lunati because of the lift but close friend tried it and it was Very Very nice , the Tr224 has a great reputation and great numbers ..
all UR CHOICE GUYZ .. choose one and i dont care cause i started to feel sick
ill see the best vote and ill go for it ...
waiting ....

I think there is a guy on kyhorsepower.com running the Lunati cam you are talking about. It is very stout to say the least, very driveable and easy on valvesprings. You can go on there and search for his name and maybe send hum a message, his name is Jonezy.

I had a slightly different cam i had the 224/224 .581 112 lsa and i got 408rwhp and 390rwtq with PP ls6 style heads. It idled great and made great low end power. I have a blower now so i have a different set up but for n/a it's great. Especially for a daily driver.

I have this cam. I was going to run it with stock heads but decided to just concentrate on my stroker. I have heard of only a couple who have run it, but the results have been great. Someone with FFHP stage 1 heads was running mid 11's I believe. I got it because the lower lift would work good with stock valves, and it would not put much stress on the springs. Most people on here only like cams with major lift, but cams like this one, the ASA, ect have had great results. And you will have peice of mind that you won't break a spring out in the middle of nowhere on a road trip.

I would go with the Lunati personally. Of course I have the TSP (Lunati ground) 231/237 and with shitty *** 853 castings runs good as hell! That belief about lift and duration with stock is true......to a point. Yes you can overcam true enough, but its also easy to have a duration exceeding the runner volume etc etc etc....and some ppl believe that you can use more lift & duration to cram more in, to assist in the blending or whatever. All I know is, I had the TR224, very nice cam indeed. I swapped out to the TSP 231/237 and I wouldnt go back to any thing smaller.
Where are you at overseas?

I'd look into the FMS cams as well, great power with good drivability. But if you're stuck between these two cams, I'd go with the Lunati.
