Default Machine shop prices

What is the normal cost to get all of this done?

Align hone
Cylinder Hone-(just for re-ringing)
Rotating Assembly balancing
Cam bearing installation

Also if anyone know a good machine shop. (I'm in tonawanda NY)
input greatly apprieciated!

Our local shop we use would likely charge ~$200-$250 for something like that. But then, NC prices on most stuff is somewhat less than NY prices. Hope that helps.

here are the prices i got

Cylinder Hone- $90
Align Hone- $175
Cam Bearings Installed- $83
Rotating Assembly Balanced- $275
total= $623

You can not say it will cost 275 to balance a motor unless it unless it is for stock parts

It cost me 400 to balance my motor but i added biger pistons and forged rods.

i wonder why it would cost you that much for balancing forged internals? What is involved in balancing the rotating assembly?

They to add tungston. The metal is not that exspencive it is the time it takes to do it. Have to drill the crank out put in a slug then put it back in the motor spen it pull it out take metal out untell it is perfect.

Cost me $250, and that ain't stock parts Align hone cost $150. Sounds like you may have been taken.

That should cost you right at $550 for everything. It costs the same to balance a stock setup as it does a custom job. Mallory metal (tungsten) will be an additional charge.
