What do you guys recommend for getting mostly stock (except for magnaflow exhaust) up to 400hp? SLP is coming out with some sort of package for 400hp trans am, anybody know whut's in it or whut it'll cost?? also, what are good suspension mods to stop wheel hop??

Do some research!!! Start with jrp's newbie mods it's in the intro section. Research parts before you buy them. Good Luck...By the way come up with goals for how you want your car to be then start modding.

for 400rwhp you'll need all the key bolt ons; intake (ls6/lsx) and exhaust (headers, ORY/ORX cattback/dualsl), and lid. then cam and valvetrain and tune. you dont need a big cam but it makes it easier to reach that threshold. this is assuming an m6 w/ 3.42's. and a4 will require a big (mid 230* at least) to reach 400rwhp cam only, its alot easier if you add heads. if a4 your fighting an uphill battle for dyno numbers so dont get caught up in them.

I do have an M6 w/ 3.42's Looking around on here i found that i might want to start upgrading suspension before horsepower. Maybe its just in my car, but the ws6 suspension sucks. What do you guys suggest for suspension upgrades

I'm really curious to see what a set of AFR's 205's would do with that cam. I would bet 430+

Saw a few things that I thought that I might "chime" in on.....
SLP Loudmouth:
Their basis is off the stock Z28:T/A exhaust. The SS Dual and the WS6 exhausts you will see very little gains. I have owned both a '99 Z28 and a '00 WS6 and put the Loudmouth on.....Z28 - 18 RWHP gains / WS6 3 RWHP gains (all variables as close as one can get)
Do keep in mind though, that this does not mean you can take the gains of each "mod" and add them together. Each is based off of stock - I know this is old news but this is related to a "newbie".
Next, the wheelhop cure:
I have tried numeruos items (separate and in combo) to cure the annoying wheelhop and while in the 1/4 mile those "mods" may cure wheelhop I can assure you that it would not completely cure wheelhop in an autocross/road racing situation, if you're truely pushing the car.
Back on the subject:
To reach the goal of 400 RWHP, 1st decide what you're going to use the car for - ie AX, RR, 1/4 mile, just a fun car. I completely agree to look into the suspension 1st - reason: what good is the HP if you can't get it to the ground and control it .
Best of luck ! !
