Exclamation magic stick v3. vs. the john holmes cam?

I was wondering if anyone has compared these two cams. The TSP MS3 (Magic Stick v.3) 237/242, .603"/.609", 113 LSA cam and the MTI Y1 (john holmes) 234/240, .598, .608 - 113 LSA cam. I was also wondering if the mti Y1 (john holmes) cam has a XER lobe? Does the magic stick make more power in the higher rpm's since it has more lift? Any info is greatly appriceated

The MTI cam looks to be the XE-R lobe. The TSP cam will have softer lobes, because that is what they like. The TSP cam isn't going to peak higher because of the lift, but more because of the duration and the softer lobe. The MTI cam will make better low-end due to the fast ramp rates of the XE-R line and will peak earlier with less duration. The lifts on both cams are so close that they are irrelivant to the equation. My guess is that the TSP cam will make more PEAK power, but the MTI cam will clean up in the low to mid area. It just depends on what you want. Street or track?

This re-enterates what I said earlier. The softer lobes "come on" hard, kinda like a powerband. 4500 up should be a blast. Both cams will like No2.

The MS3 cam has very agressive lobes, similar to the XE-R lobes. The Lunati grinds like the 231/237 has less agressive lobes, but not all our cams are ground by Lunati.
