Dry sump with internal pump?
I've seen info posted on this before, but I can't seem to locate it.
Anyway, I was thinking about dry sump systems, and for a street car, it does not seem like a bad idea to use the normal internal pump with a external sump and evac pump to the sump.
Can anyone give me some feedback or info on this?

A dry sump does not have an internal pump. It has to be exernal. The purpose of a dry sump is to keep the oil reserve out of the engine for better oil control and more power. A dry sump will be standard in 07.

Gary Armstrong's pan can be set up to use the existing interal oil pump as the pressure stage, www.drysump.com
Still uses an external tank, and requires a 2 to 3 stage scavenge only external pump.

You can also use a dry sump pump as an external wet sump pump and a vacume pump all in one. Use the pressure stage of the pump as the wet sump pump and use a scavange stage for the vacume pump.
