How many quarts of oil do you put in the 427 ?

Default How many quarts of oil do you put in the 427 ?
I just wanted to see how many quarts of oil everyone puts in there car every oil change on the 427 motor ?

The same as every other 5.7 LS1. The oil pans are no different.

I agree. Mine still uses the same 5.5 or 6 quarts. I thought it would use more since it was bigger, but that is a myth, I guess.

Why would a larger motor need more oil. Are the oil passages any larger? Filter? Pan?
