you might wanna call them up, or any other sponsor for that matter, and get their advice.

I have tried catch can and breathers too nothing helps. When i take the oil fill cap off smoke comes out like a choo choo train. Everyone has told me that this is a tell tail sign that something is wrong with the piston.

How much power will your setup handle?
as far as my power i should be in the 450+rwhp range; 12:1 compression, heads, cam, full bolts ons, yada, yada, yada.

Yeah i am putting down 530 at 8#'s of boost right now and i would like to up the boost when i go forged. I hope to put down a little over 650 at the wheels. I don't know what to do. Just keep searching. Don't want to go the wrong route and be even more in debt.

Hey Mike,
If you are interested in the nicest parts and highest quality machine work, at a resonable price give us a call at LME. In most cases we can have your engine to you in 2 weeks.

Call me on the cost involved. Just an FYI, Rapid uses all premium quality parts such as Callies cranks, Manley, Crower or Oliver rods, Diamond pistons, billet main caps, etc. I refuse to build low dollar time bombs.

Mike - You are getting to carried away in my opinion. I had the same issue most FI guys do the ring glands are usually the first to go just look at the pics in my signiture. I just rebuild it used forged Mahle pistons and some H-beam rods. I am makeing 569rwhp and am planning on 6-700 range when I am done. You should just start simple and work your way up. If you insist on a forgen crank get a 4" for a 383. If not just buy some forged pistons and nice rods and rebuild or buy a sponcers forged 347/348. Harland is running 8.20' and 170mph on a stock crank. They are really nice pieces if you ever talk to any machinist they will tell you that too. Oh by the way I only had about 18 miles on mine when it happened to me so I know how you feel about the luck thing. Good luck on what ever decision you make it is your money! Oh and if I was going to have some one build me one I'd call Kurt over at Wheel to Wheel they have a very good track record with forced induction. No offence to other sponcers it is just my opinion.

LPE shortblock with Mahle pistons and:

AFR heads
Custom Cam
Won't be all put together till spring. H/C from not a sponsor. The assembly will be done by a local shop. I'll install the motor back in the car.
