No doubt, I would want it to be a regular guy collecting all the heads for testing and then do it up. It would be a real world-this is the heads we send out- comparison. I personally believe 1/4 (or 1/8th) mile times matters most- because thats what most people are trying to improve.

Only thing with a magazine like GMHTP is that whichever person gives them the nicest bribe will get the best results........... Happens all the time in that magazine.

first set i had were 853's. the set here against the PP's are 241's, they are considered stage 1's.

I see the Patroit's have bigger valves. Still pretty good, though. But the head that can flow about the same with smaller valves is obviously worth the extra money. But I'm sure you know, like me, the TEA/FFHP heads aren't that much more money

The patriot heads are budget LS6 style. In real life conditions the TEA/FF heads will outperform them.Patriot is Budget price = budget power.Want a good set of heads, look elsewhere.

But since FFHP hand finishes them, it makes it WELL worth the money!

First of all, thank you JRP for this info. With current pricing (various sales) on PP heads, the LS6 style heads are basically the same price as 5.3 or LS1's. Assuming you purchase them from FFHP and have them use the TEA cnc then hand finish them, which head would you buy based on these flow numbers...the LS6 style or the 5.3/LS1's? I suppose the only way to answer that question is to flow a set of FFHP/TEA hand finished LS6 style heads.

I think, like this thread shows, that the results will be eye opening in some areas. Just a thought.
Very few magazines would like to take on a project that will anger 14 out of 15 advertisers. It's not a good move for the bottom line.

Excellent job.
I would love to see the good stage 2 LS1 heads compared to these...of course they are more expensive but ive seen numbers that smoke these throughout the lift range.

We would like to thank Jerami and Steve for the time they spent with testing. We think that these un biased test show that we have taken the steps to bring our company to a different level. As we have stated before, in recent months we have made changes in personel and QC to help us move upward.

We would like to start this new year by announcing that along with inovations of our OEM castings, we are moving forward and devolping our own casting. We are looking foward to having our new casting ready for production around early summer.

All of the team members here at Patriot Performance would like to thank everyone for their orders and continuing support of our products. We are all looking foward to the exciting things to come in this new year.

Once again, it seems that our heads give you the most performance per dollar spent. You can pay more...but why?

Thank you again, Jerami and Steve.

Thanks,
Gunnar

for an ls6 style head vs a stage 1 ls1 head and loosing the under the curve battle to a head $300 cheaper i wouldnt necessarily say those heads give you "the most performance per dollar spent". I would definitly like to see the std patriot s2 5.3 heads with the 2.02/2.57 valves or whatever vs jerami's ffhp head to see what those figures would look like as to be honest im not really impressed by those figures especially considering the price, larger valves, larger ports equaling a lesser head.

well i supose you could go ahead and polish out the PP heads to smooth out all those cnc rough edges, and is not like you need to be an expert to hand finish a pair of heads by smoothing them out.
