Default needle cam bearings???

A local engine builder is building up a motor out here - non LS1 - anyways he has needle bearing cam bearings?!? Anyone know if these are avail for LS1's? Also if anyone is in the scoop on these bearings are there any plans on needle main and rod bearings?? Practicality in those uses??? Any thoughts??

Roller bearings are spherical, needle bearings are cylindrical.

Their used in NASCAR engines, but I doubt you need them. Your setup has to be pretty extreme to warrant them.

hummm why would they wear out faster? seems they would last longer and have less friction no?

The reason they don't use them on the street is because of the expense.

And by the way, there is almost zero power gain from this.
