needle cam bearings???

needle cam bearings??? A local engine builder is building up a motor out here - non LS1 - anyways he has needle bearing cam bearings?!? Anyone know if these are avail for LS1's? Also if anyone is in the scoop on these bearings are there any plans on needle main and rod bearings?? Practicality in those uses??? Any thoughts??

Re: needle cam bearings??? Roller bearings are spherical, needle bearings are cylindrical.
Their used in NASCAR engines, but I doubt you need them. Your setup has to be pretty extreme to warrant them.
