quick cam question

Default quick cam question

im gunna order a TR224/224 114lsa and there is a package deal where u get the springs and cam gasket http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...&vid=3&pcid=51 (thats the site)... do i need double springs? do i need a new cam gasket?

you dont need double springs. you will need a basic cam/bolt kit though.

should i get titanium retainers? even though i dont need it should i have it just becuase they are better and will last longer? if i do get the douple springs should i get should i get the 26921 springs or just the standard double springs? so i need a new cam gasket? 1 more thing is this cam a decent SC cam cuz i am thinking of going that route in the future?

i wouldn't use a tr 224 as a blower cam, but you can use anything. i'd probably do with a g1 if i was going to be going fi in the future. you typicaly want a traditional split cam for fi (one that has more duration on the exhaust than the intake). as for gaskets, you need 2 water pump gaskets, 1 front timing cover gasket, timing cover seal and a crank bolt.

k so should i just go with the single springs (Comp Cams 26918 Valve Springs) should i get the titanium retainers or reuse the stock ones?

918's are fine, retainers are up to you. i didn 't get them, but i couldn't afford them at the time.

for the cam i am getting and if i do put f/i eventually i know it isnt ideal, but will it be fine with a SC? or a STS?

also if you were to have done the titanium retainers would you have done them or is it not really that big of a deal, i need to know by today because TR is having 10% off of everything right now and it ends today!
