THE mistake is saying AFRs were worth 40rwhp with no other changes to stock C5.
factory heads are 66.66cc I believe. So you can get you numbers straight.

Guess I'll answer my own question ... will get the unmilled AFR 205's 'cause JRP says so. I assume unmilled, unless I swap cams. This thread and JRP sold me on AFR 205's ... unmilled. Just gotta' figure out where the money will come from ... ain't happening this spring ...

Oops!!!! I already posted this was a misquote ... have no idea why it's showing up again. JRP had been speaking to a set of TEA 5.3's unmilled. He got me straight and I posted this was a misquote on my part. JJRP reccommended AFR 205's be milled to 62CC with my setup ... Cometics gaskets I believe .035-.040" thickness.
Sorry to intrude, but, I had to set that straight. To get back on track, I'd like to see the results with the AFR 205's and a 224/228 or bigger Vinci cam.

the only thing i can say is i am impressed with AFR! but i think its rediculous how every one wants THE PERFECT TEST. then when someone tries it every body picks and pokes at it
until you decide the test is oblivious . if you dont wanna buy the heads you sure as hell dont have to. just sit back and relax. there will be many more examples and tests to come. some people you will never please.
as for me im patiently waiting for my money or a price drop

Why would drag radials hurt 60' times? Compared to the run flats I thought this would be a huge improvement.
Interesting that the smaller cam actually looks better than the larger one. It would be interesting to see what a 228 or 230 cam would do.
I am amazed that these numbers are without an upgraded intake manifold or throttle body - although maybe not on second thought since the power isn't coming in the form of higher revs but with more torque...

Awesome results!!!
What's with all the negativity?!
This post was made to show what can be done with heads alone. I think it is an EXCELLENT comparision with great results.
All the information was provided.
You complainers forget they didn't HAVE to do anything. They did this to share information to us as consumers.
Great job!
Chris
