i'm trying as hard as i can and i cant break the bolts loose, should i heat them? (i have no breaker bar ) this is really starting to **** me off...

 

ok i got all 6 bolts out, but it hasnt dropped enough to let me get the oil pan out yet, what else do i need to do? i've got jacks holding the motor up, and one to slowly let the k-member slide down, but it only went like an inch, what to do?

 

With no weight on the k-member it probably won't come down very much by itself. Can you pull it down some more by hand? The front wheels will need to be free to come in toward the center of the car (they can't be setting on ramps with weight on them).

 

well i'm finished with that. pulled the oil pan and found my bolt. your right about it not comming down much though, i reall had to work it to get it down far enough.

 

It's only gunna go as far as the motor mounts will let it. Undo your 2 motor mount bolts and it will fall way down.

 

go ahead and get a new k member while its out
