15rwhp is a nice gain though when u think about it if u find one used for around 300$.. asap pulleys are 200+ and ive heard at best add 10rwhp.

I run pretty consistant 12.3X@114 and installed an LS6 intake and at the track netted no gains. It was tuned before the install and speed said it would work with the intake. The EGR was removed previous and I wonder if some people get better gains when they remove the EGR AND install the intake? I since have installed a 12bolt/ram clutch and have slicks for this spring so I'm hoping for high 11's.

I was wondering that too. I noticed a difference when I removed my EGR on my cammed car.

and these are the same type of people who complain about there low dyno numbers when its all said and done.

with a 224 cam or higher keeping the ls1 intake although you'll see gains, its kinda like having sex with really thick condom. yeah your having sex but it could be a hell of alot better with a better one.

i run my 224/228 cam with my ls1 intake, still pulls hard till the rev limiter (not even tuned yet so its still at 6250) but i know theres more in it. i picked up a 232/232 cam and when that goes in, the ls6 goes on with it without a doubt. just cause i bought a whole cam id like to use all of its power as well!

in the end id atleast make it a plan to swap the intake soona fter the cam install. im sure you'd be pleasantly suprised by the power you pick up! Best of luck!

I run the ls1 intake with a c2 cam and mac mid lengths un-tuned. Im very pleased with my 1/4 mile performance for now. I have never put it on the dyno and probally will only do so to have it tuned once i get my heads and intake. Dyno's are for tuning and thats all. Looking at peak numbers is just for dyno bragging rights in my opinion. 1/4 times in sig.

I was running my stock ls1 intake with my TR224 cam. I put down 376rwhp and tq with it on and before the duals. I also ran a 12.4x @ 113.x at the strip in 70 degree weather.

Dude, If we wanna talk 1/4 times....or better yet mph(since that's the true testiment to the power you're making..) I am trapping 110-112 right now with nothing more than bolt on's....which ironicly includes the ls6 intake. I think it is pretty much agreed that dyno's are for tuning, but, it is also agreed that you're leaving power on the table w/o a ls6 intake. You are pleased with your mph in the 1/4 considering i am still on stock internals and a 10 bolt, and you only have gained 2mph over what i am running right now?? btw, i also ran a 12.94 on street tires, so my E.t isn't far off from you either

what mph were you running before the cam???

I never said or implied that there isnt horsepower on the table. Im very pleased with my times considering the work i have done. My car runs great for the mods that it has with 110,000 on the motor. As i stated in my post im happy with my 1/4 mile performance FOR NOW. You car trapping 110 to 112 is great, but you dont have your mods listed. The car ran a best of 108mph at 13.60 with the previous owner with mac mid lengths and a flowmaster. My car is untuned also.

That's understandable, and yes i don't have my mods listed...I am just a Full bolt on car with brent at TEA tuning...My car also only has 1.9k on the clock, so trust me i feel your pain there!!

So, after the cam swap, you picked up 6mp? Did you have it tuned after the swap? do you plan on throwing on a ls6 intake?
