Just dynoed my car before I put in a cam and got awesome results. My 02 z-28 has Hooker long tubes, hooker or/y-pipe, dump, 30 series flowmaster, pulley, k&n fipk, ported maf/tb, msd wires/ngk plugs, and ls1 edit. It put down 356.1 horsepower and 373.8 torque. My motor is a freak! I am going with a cam similar to the MTI X1. Anybody have good/bad stories about this cam?
Good numbers my piece of crap only did 347 HP and 358 Tq. How many miles did you have when you dynoed? I only had like 6,500.
The 02's are DEFINITELY a good year for LS1's.
I have two friends with 02's... both of them have IDENTICAL mods.
Direct-Flo, Ported MAF ends, Hooker LT's, Hooker ORY, Magnaflow Cat-back and NGK TR-55 plugs and one has FTRA (like it matters on a dyno).
One dyno'ed 354/373 and the other did 352/372
And by the way like five other non-2002 F-Bodies dyno'ed (several LS1's) the same day on the same dyno and didn't put down unrealistic numbers. These are SAE corrected numbers. All things considered two cars with identical mods dyno'ing that high and within 2rwhp and 1rwtq of each other is pretty impressive.

i'm still learning the cam route for our ls1's but from talking to mti and everone hear that cam seem's a little large for stock heads. also what trans do you have.I'm sold on the tr 224 561 112lsa. 98 ss m6 all bolt on's stock heads for now!! good luck send dyno #'s when done.

Could you post your graph. I have friend with a 00 FireHawk, that can't decide what to do next with his car.
Thanks

My car is a manual with 3:73's. My best 1/4 mile was 12.30 @ 113.(no weight reduction) I have the graph but I don't know how to post it. Any ideas?
As far as the cam size is concerned..I have read many places that the reverse split is the way to go with stock heads.I also have several friends with the x1 and they seem to love it.

I love the X1 cam. She is a maniac! Great power! I could have gotten more N/A power wise but my timing is set at 23 degrees for my shot of spray. The sound is awsome! Check my sig out for my numbers and mods
rock on mike! that motor is going to LOVE a bigger cam (frankly i think you MUST have a bigger cam in there with the power you make!)
i think the reverse split is the right thing. then again, you could always buy my cam in my motor cheap. let me know how things turn out.

WASSUP JOHN? Havent seen or heard from you in awhile. Shoot me the specs on your cam. I'm placing my order after I get back from Vegas on the 15th.
I totalled by 01 SS, so got a 02 WS6. Dynoed it at 6300 miles after second oil change. Stock including the baffles, etc.. No mods done made 333 RWHP and 344 RWTQ not bad eh ;-)
All of the 02 cars dyno really well with what they have. They have the ls6 intake and the 02 heads come with a smoother casting. It's like a light polish job. So I see why most of the 02 cars are doing so well with what they got.
Those are very good numbers but don't seem freakishly high. With my 2000, I dynoed 346rwhp/352rwtq w/ just mac headers, true duals (h pipe), s2 tb, and a lid and no LS1 edit. Btw, this is with 1400 miles on my motor and with the LS1 intake.
