I would go to the dealer and get a replacement plug. They sell service ends, costs about $20.

Mine did the same thing, i just pushed the pin connector out of the plastic connector and soldered the wire back on the pin and pushed it back in, works beautifully

What he said just look at the back of the plug, you will see a small metal tang you can depress to pull the metal out of the plug, once you get it out, you can reattach your wire to it, mine did the same thing

shouldn't need a part number just tell them you are looking for the replacement end. They aren't too hard to get. I had to order one for my S10 swap because I'm using C5 accessories and the C5 alternator is wired differently than the S10 or the fbody unit. Just be sure to get a pinout from the service department so you can get it put back together right. You could try to solder the connector back in but if the wires actually pulled out of the metripack terminal then you are screwed. I have had no luck with those small little bastards. The larger ones aren't bad, but the smaller ones aren't worth messing with IMO

Radio shack will have pin removal and insertion tools, as well as terminals.

I had the same thing happen to my alterantor wire....

Go to the dealership like someone else said....They have the replacement there with the wire already ran to the connector. Then solder, or connect that wire to the red wire...and you're set!

I asked for a replacement weatherpak connector for the alternator.....

It's just a universal weatherpak with the wires already plugged in all four holes.....I just cut off the wires not being used...
