Unless you have a very different intake and exhaust lobe (my situation). I guess you could get a pushrod length checker and get two different custom length pushrods then but that is a pain. The adjustables are much much easier.

F@#$ Setting Preload! With my small cam get OEM replacment's torque to 22 FTLBS and be done with it! keep it Simple stupid.

i have comp 850-16 i bought from speed inc. i've never had a problem and i have never set any preload. i just tq-them bitches to 22 ft-lbs and they work great.

I have jessels non adjustables and i shimed under the rocker shaft with shim stock. It was pretty easy i just measured my preload with a dial indcator and just figured what size shim it would take to get my lifters into the right preload.been working for me for a while and my lifters are not loud.
