Default 160 thermostat

ok sorry if this been asked before did a search and could't find an answer.

Ok guy alot of people are into the lower thermostats, and i was wondering if a 160 thermostat would be to low for the ls1 or if it be just fine. The reason iam asking is becasue back in the day i was doing some reading on the wankel engine, and i read about how they had high themal lost becasue of the long distance the burnt mix has to travel in the engine, causing the engine to loose some efficiensy. Now i was wondering if adding to low a thermostat like a 160 could casue something similar in our engines, i know they are both totally different desings but if we cool our engiens down to much something like that could hapen?? So to the people that know their stuff, whats the verdict is 160 to little and cause our engines not to run wright or just what the doctor order???

I had a 160 in mine for a couple of years. You do have to change both fans in the PCM.

The car runs great. It will run even better after I get the Torquer Cam installed.
