What is the biggest cam that can be fitted on a bolt-on 98 LS1 (A4)? Drivability is not an issue since the car is not my daily driver. I was looking into the T-Rex cam and it looks intersting but I know there must be more out there. Any suggestions will be helpful.

 

trex is the biggest without flycutting pistons. look at texas speeds magic stick,futral motorsports fm15,and mti has a new large cam out. call some of the sponsers and talk to them about your intentions.

 

Our "s" cam goes right in and makes big power and is still tunable. Many of these cams are on the ragged edge of piston to valve clearance whereas this one has sufficient clearance with good springs. It will turn almost 7000 and make peak power at 6400. We've seen up to 425 on cam only cars with headers and the FAST intake and 470 with heads AND cam and bolt ons.
