is this pushrod bent? *pic*

from the #7 cylinder intake valve
it seems to have extended the hole that the pushrod drops into in the head toward about 7 oclock by about 1/4". will it be safe to put a new pushrod in this hole? i'm guessing the lifter and the rocker will hold it in place and this hole being a little "extended".
i guess this explains my ticking noise
What the hell did you do to cause that? The dreaded 2-3 misshift into 1st? Ive been lucky. Ive made some of those misshifts but only when driving real slow in traffic. Accidently shifting into 1st at 20mph. oops

sucks so bad i cant stop laughing
but what about my questions?? they are serious lol, and where can i order some new hardened ones today? i've never researched any internal engine stuff that much, because i diddnt plan on buying anything very soon, guess i am now!
what are some good hardened pushrods? i need to order these today and dont really have time to do research like i normally would. anybody have any suggestions? TSP has manleys for 110$

my friend bends his [push rod for you preverts] about every 2 weeks and keeps using my old ones to fix it. i swear his rev limiter doesnt work. ive seen him rev it over 7000 rpms and his bottom end is stock . i guess he'll never learn till one of those rods come flying out of the block
would it be ok to put in all the stuff as if i was putting in a bigger cam, and run with the stock cam for now?
what exactly is it that causes the pushrods to bend? is it really bad valve float or what? i did the dreaded 3rd to 2nd shift instead of 4th
