How Much HP can MY stock motor Handle?
I'm buying an LS1 out of a 98 Trams Am to put in my Jeep and i am going to add some bolt on accesories and nitrous to add some more power. So my question is how much HP can the stock crank, rods..... can handle safely? How much nitrous can it handle? Who has decent prices on parts for the LS1?
Thanks for the info

i had around 430hp to my stock 01 block. the stock ls1 can handle around 500hp maybe more but i wouldnt trust it past 500. most h&c cars will only make low to mid 400hp.

Re: How Much HP can MY stock motor Handle?
Although ive never been on a dyno (will this summer), i figure im conservatively running 450 rwho with no problems yet except a stupid misfire and bad cats. I might have a bad spring or bent pushrod, but not a huge deal, everythings running like a champ now. i figure about 350rwhp on motor and the 125 shot. maybe more, maybe less, but it likes it. worst case scenario, you build that thing to handle 600!
