Can anyone recommend a good technical book concerning the LS1 engine. Wanting to understand my car better and be able to have some idea about it if things go wrong. Getting ready to do more internal mods (h/c). Thanks in advance. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

All I know of at this point in time is the GM shop manual. It doesn't cover hop-up techniques and aftermarket parts, but you're already in the right place for that information. Just do a lot of searches on this board and a lot of reading others posts. I've been quite impressed with the technical knowledge available from the people here.

I ordered 2 books from Amazon.com, im deployed out of the country so they will take 2 or 3 weeks to get here. When the come in i'll let you know how they are. Im pretty new too the LS1 and need some good information as well, the shop manuals are a little to deep for me right now. This link helped a little..

There are two books I know of. How to maintain and modify the Corvette fuelinjection by Charles Probst,an in depthbokk about the engine control system. And Chevy LS1/LS6 performance by Christoper P. Enders. Both Inormative.
