Default ported heads ?

I am getting my 98 heads ported to match cam in sig. or t.r.224/112 cam. Heads should flow in the 26x to 27x range(max) for a.56x/.55x lift cam. My question is(a) would you normally lose bottom end torque since possibly velocity might be slower? (b) is this correct thinking as far as the flow I am trying to reach to match these cams? BTW machine shop asked for cam card to see the valve events and various lifts before max. lift which does'nt show up on cam card but he's going to call the cam grinder.(c) How is this info utilized in porting heads?? thanks for any input.

Have you checked out the Precision Porting heads? I have plotted their flow data and they flow very well at .200-.350 lift right where the valve passes through both opening and closing.
