Default To torque, or not to torque. That is the question!

Plastic intake manifold. Manual says torque to 88 inch pounds. AFR recommends torque by hand. What do you guys do?

I always go by the service manual unless there is a logical reason not to. In this case, not sure what that would be.

If you have an inch pound or light torque wrench, you should torque them, if not then torque them by hand. They are long bolts so be careful not to over tighten, and take your time, it's just as important to get them all even as it is to get them to the correct tightness.
