Re: JPR 388ci all-bore initial dyno results I feel the same way as I8COBRA. I have $$$ in hand ready to go. When spending this kind of money, I would like some communication. Tell me your busy, tell me you will contact me in a day or so, just communicate. I have read receipts on my emails and when I see that they are read and 24 hours no responce and later I have to almost beg for a responce, that isn't good enough. It only takes a minute to hit the reply button and write a reply. At this time of year, I want to get things back up and running in a timely manner. If it was in the fall then we would be less anxious. I don't want to miss the whole season. I also don't want to feel like I am on the back burner and that I don't matter. If people are that busy then hire more people. I know he deals with Thunder Racing, try handling customers more like they do...

Sorry you feel that way, but we only check our E-mail once a day to every other day. Were busy servicing a full shop and mail order heads and have 2 phones going off the hook. We have a decent reputation for customer service going above and beyond but were just very busy right now.

Waiting a day for a return e-mail seems pretty normal to me. I mean not many people will be able to check their e-mail every 3 hours like some people. Re: JPR 388ci all-bore initial dyno results Hey Cobra...I emailed MMS 3 times asking about the belt size I should use for his upgraded crank pulley for the ATI kit. It took them 3 weeks to answer me back. But I didn't come on here bashing MMS. Sometimes companies get busy and respond alittle slower than normal. Which isn't too hard to understand. I'm more glad that companies are out there making better setups for our cars.

And it gets a little frustrating when I notice JPR making posts here almost daily, meaning they have time to spend time on the internet. I'm not bitching that I didnt receive a response "next day", but that after 4 emails I havent received any answeres in over 10 days.
And if some of you havent noticed, I'm not bashing JPR's quality of work, why do you think I wanted to go with them???? I'm just bashing their customer service. Theres someone else that was also looking for a shortblock and changed his mind after being ignored after numerous emails.

Re: JPR 388ci all-bore initial dyno results Easy Guy's, it's my fault, I just can't juggle a die grinder/phone/rods and the PC all at the same time, whatever post during the day would be Tom or my lunch hour, but he does not return e-mails, I do. 90% of the time when someone calls they want to speak to me even if Tom is quallified to answer there questions but there is only so much of my attention to go around so I appologize for that. If I listed exactly everything that were working on right now you would understand how I work almost 17 hours a day <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> . We have been working on expanding last week, new building, plans on moving this shop to the new location, receptionist etc.. to service our customers better but thats not until next month so we do recognize the problem and are working on a solution.
Sorry for the disappointment.

Re: JPR 388ci all-bore initial dyno results The sleeves themselves are ~$1300 but, that does not include labor to install them or the block to install them in.
Most places are over $2000 for a fully prepped block with the Darton sleeve system installed.

Also of note to those of you who think it costs $1300, that is just for the sleeves from those sites. They have to be installed/machined into the block, you need new pistons as well (looks like the diamonds in my block are around $600), new piston rings ($180ish), new rods (although mine has the stockers in it), and add in a timing chain, bearings, rod bolts, ported oil pump, etc...it starts to add up in a hurry.
On another note, I might have a damaged rocker, goes from the standard ticking noise of the typewriter to a popcorn like noise when the rpms get above about 3 grand. Argghh...

I'm sure I found the better cam for you, it's a 240/240 .587 112 single pattern, I ran the numbers three times and it seem like it will give you 30 exra FWH and retain the same torque but only cost you 150 more RPM's.
I will look into this further tommorow.

On the rockers -- I am thinking about getting the yella terras or whatever they are called so I never have to worry about this type of problem again. Would probably pick up a bit of hp too in the deal, so other than throwing even more money into the d*mn car, why not?
