Default Im Going To Lose It Please Help

i have the dumbest question ever to ask and i know ill probaably get hated on but i need to know where do you find the Machining number and Assembly number on the block of an LS1/LS6???the numbers are posted everywhere on here but i dont know where they are located on the block.im trying to purchase a block from someone and i asked for the numbers but they dont know where to look and im trying to help him figure it out.PLEASE HELP!!

i have the casting number i need the machining number and assembly numbers because the block came out of an 01 WS6 and some of them came with ls6's and some with ls1's so i have to figure out which it is

first what's a ws5? and second all you need is the casting number to know whether it's a ls6 or ls1 block ... ls6 block = 12561168

other than that i have no clue what you're talkin bout and i don't think anyone else does either, that's why they haven't replied

ah sorry i meant WS6 my mistake...but in 01 and 02 they had ls1 with that casting number as well on WS6's thats why i wasnt sure

From what I've been told/seen, that casting number is for the LS6 only.

ive got it in a book of mine that says that its for ls6's and some 01 02 ls1's and also for 03/04's as well so so confused.
