Yeah it was an H beam but who knows what the rod was going through . The stresses a rod undergoes is unreal , add nitrous and it can get destuctive . Imagine the cylinder pressure if the mixture preignited and the piston was trying to go down before TDC and the crank was still trying to push up .

I have never seen an Eagle fail due to normal use of the motor. I've seen two situations where rods failed for other reasons, but never when the motor was tuned properly and built properly.

I don't think an Eagle H-Beam and an L-19 Bolt will have any problems in most motors. Hell has anyone seen a stock LS1 rod fail?

I'll probably be using Carillo or Olivers in my new motor.

I spin Eagles up to 9000RPM and 150hp per rod all the time. Not one failure. I have personally seen Eagle rods that had the big end machined slightly undersize. So just double check them before install and you should be good to go. Eagle's + Wiseco's go in all my personal motors.

I would not run the standard ARP bolt, only the upgraded version (but that's just me ).

Very good advice! Thats some cheap insurance!
