LS1 with truck internals?

Are there any set backs to using truck internals for an 02 ws6 engine? I love the power, but I am afraid to boost the engine with such a high compression ratio. I believe the 5.3 heads and rotating mass would work, but I am definately not 100% on that. I like the idea of the 9.5 CR of the truck 5.3L. Any advice here? I appreciate it.

Well that would be nice and all but, none of the truck pistons will fit a 3.898 bore. They are either 4.00" or 3.779" bore depending on the CID

Ahh..ok. Makes sense. Thanks for the info. Just need to dig a little deeper, on the web, and in the wallet.
