wix is a FAR better value than K&N... K&N is no better than a bosch IMO, same ol' champion filter. Napa Gold is the same filter.
Wix has awesome ADBV, bypass valve, strong spiral center tube with huge holes, awesome construction.

Basically I'm not getting your point. Fram is junk, yup. Pressure is resistance to flow, yup. Cold oil is thicker than hot oil, yup. Worn out bearings generate less resistance to flow, yup. All true statement, but I don't get the point.
i think hes just happy noone is pro-fram and spouting whatever oil info is in his head, while simultaneously fishing for some pro-fram person to get in a debate with.

ok went back to autozone and picked up a mobil 1 #206 filter. This is the longer truck filter that will work right? Also this may be a dumb question, but what is the shelf life of oil, cuz by chance they had exactly 6 quarts of GC 0w30 left and they were on sale so I picked those up too. So that gives me a total of 13 quarts that I now have. Will the left over quarts still be good when it is time to change the oil again? thanks

I run AMSOIL everyhting in all my rides. It's 5.49 a quart but well worth it IMO. I use a K&N long filter, and change every 5000k in my 95 intrepid (what i'm driving now for winter). Its slightley modded, has 162,000 on the clock and runs better than it did when it was new. People cant beleive it has as many miles as it does.
the fram filters are junk, i had worked for BIG-A autoparts for five years, and the filter rep cut filters apart to show us the insides the fram had alot of cardboard,very cheap looking bypass valve, chinsey spring, and more cardboard, the wix filter is a far better filter

I just bought Castrol 0w30 at AutoZone for $3.99 each. They also had the 0w30 made in USA. I heard it is the same but bought all the Germany made they had in stock (8qts) for now.
