'Course I think either way, I would agree that those two graphs sacrifice low and mid to gain top end.

this is just like asking about stage 1 vs. 2 vs. 3 heads. there is nothing written in stone to categorize these. but for me, i would bring the high range down a bit. id say:
low - 1500-3000
mid - 3000-4500
high - 4500-6000+
low - 1500-3000
mid - 3000-4500
high - 4500-6000+
