Low-end : idle - 2500 (normal street/road driving).
Mid-range : 2500 - 5000 (high accel. on normal driving, ex: passing other cars).
High-end : 5000+ (race).

I would say my "low" end power is where the engine spends most of its time "cruising" around the street....say 1500-3000 RPM.
Lets call "midrange" somewhere in the 3000-5500 range
And of course the remaining 5500 plus being the "upper" part of the power curve.
There is no right answer obviously....just everyones interpretation of the different RPM ranges.
Then , of course, there's "idle quality", part throttle power , and overall throttle response...LOL

To call "High end" 6k+ is not appropriate for the LS1, since the stock rev limiter is 6200. "High end" would only be 200 rpm then! Even with modifications, few people rev to even 7000 RPM, and that would still be too small of a band...

low-idle to 3000
3000-5500 mid range
and 5500+ would be high end power..
when ppl talk about a car making good power under the curve i like to see it making good power from 3grand and up... and when ppl say "peak power" i think of a cam that mkaes goo numbers from 5000 and up especially 5500-6700rpms, but maybe not such great power from 3-4500..

For me 1500 to 2500rpm is my low range. I cruise around in 4th in that range all the time around town. I go above 2500rpm when I want to pass someone so I will say 2500 to 4500rpm is my midrange or you can say passing. Anything above that you will need a zoom lens on your high powered camera to see me

i posted this because alot of people say "i went with X cam over Y cam" for more low/mid/high end power but they give no definition of what that means to them.
so looking at these two graphs we'd all agree that low and and midrange power was sacrificed for top end?
Danz28's tr230 vs trex.
Somebodies graph who i cant remember
green = tr224 112
red = fm13 112
blue = g5x3 112
