You're probably right. I am over estimating the intelligence of most dealerships.

With stock manifolds and a stock catback you would only feel a little engine shake and hear some increased valvetrain noise. You would change the cadence of the idle slightly but a dealership may not catch it.

However, with my 2OTL and SLP LT's, there is no doubt that my car is cammed.

I am kinda partial to the FM13, but that's just me. More power down low and across the mid range than I had with full-bolts ons. Idles quiet with a little lope. The idiots at the car wash drove it throught just fine the other day so I don't think the service guy would even know the difference, hearing or feeling.

I'm going with the Boss 2 from Vinci high perf. It'll match nice with the 1.8 Harlan Sarps I have installed.
Specs: 216 224 @ .50
.551, .551 lift @ .50 w/ 1.7 rockers
LSA 115 RPM range 2000 to 6200.
Stronger low end torque than Boss 1.

For what it's worth I just went with 205 AFR heads, 222-222 .581-.581 XER cam, and it idles in gear at 750, and has not stalled or bucked or behaved shitilily (ooopps I can't say that) for the last 50 or so miles since I got the car back. Also got a Vig 2800 at the same time so that toned down the idle/cam manners a bit, I imagine. Good luck with your choice!

Firehawk#608, when are you buying/installing that cam? I'm seriously considering the same camshaft.

excellent choice firehawk#608, just completed a h/c install on my 04 C5 A4 and car pulls from 2000-up. Boss II is great cam, used crane 1.8 rockers with spring kit, crane double roller billet timing chain, pp 2.055 64 cc heads, dynatech and magnaflow. tuned with crane tuner idles @650 with slight chop
