Default Manley billet rods........

Are these streetable at all?? Or mainly just race?

I have heard they are made to withstand 30-40 1/4 runs, then be replaced??

Having a shortblock built. Plan on boosting it, eventually.
Lunati Pro Mods are the other choice, and slightly cheaper.

both brands mentioned are good I would think a Manley steel rod would last for a very long time alum would be a different story I bought a set of Dyers Top Rods for my 408 they are very close to Carillios

30 to 40 passes would be for an ALUMINUM rod.

The Steel Billet rods are nice and will do great on the street.

The Manley Pro Series for the ls1 is not a billet rod . I contacted them inquiring about these rods asking if they were billet or a machined forging . The machined forging can have advantages in the cap by means of improved granular structure in the cap . Either way a good rod , lightweight , and according to Manley they had been used in some Ford Mod motors up 1400 before bending . I would like to see the Manley and the Lunati compared side by side in some grueling destructive tests to compare the two since they are somewhat similar .
