Curious if you have any video or sound clips of your car. I am doing this same cam, and have pretty close to the same setup as you.

Nice numbers.

I'll try and get a clip in the next couple of days...it sounds badass at idle w/ the cutout open.

All the cars Ive seen with this cam are really down on torque, everywhere. Whereas TSP got 400 ftlb out of a stock head/bolton car.

95% of the cars dynoed so far(other than TSP's car) have been either 1)Stock tune 2)badly tuned 3)something else wrong with the car 4)not finished with the bolt ons before putting a cam in

All of these things scew numbers, especially in a fairly large cam such as the TSP233/239. Personally I'm pretty impressed most of these cars are still putting 400 at the wheels with all these handicaps

well, i have all the bolt on minus the puley... so ill take the hit on that one. im gonna have mine tunned on friday still....if i recall corectly, the tsp car was a m6 wasnt it?

my car only made 314 hp and 325 tq last year..so i dont even dream of it making 400/400 with the addition of a cam, ls6 intake, and ported TB...i just dont see gaining 85 hp/ 75 tq from those few things..ill be COMPLETLY happy with anything in the 370-to-380 range...but that still may be a bit hopeful. But regardless, i wont have any bad feeling for this cam because i have waited a LONG time to ba able to do this.. 5 years!! and i know its gonna be better than my stock one.

ChrisMc- do you have LT headers and a good exhaust? An air lid?

i have ported macs and 2.5 duals with 12" bullits ran all the way out back, slp air lid, 3500 stall, ls6 intake, ported/polished TB,ported ls6 oil pump, double roller timming chain

the 314/325 numbers from last year was with the same exhaust and the airlid.. that was all.

i later added the stall..

everthing else is being done now, thats why i didnt get a puley...ran out of cash.

I will not have the pulley or ported TB when I do this cam either. I will have:

Hooker LT's
3" magna flow exhaust with electric cutout
LS6 intake
MTI Lid
TSP 233/239

Any ideas what you guys think I might put down with this setup?

Cool,
I am a M6 car. I have LT's/TSP TD's, Ported TB, LS6 intake, 28.8 injectors, alll other bolt ons and free mods, didn't get a pulley yet, and all the AIR andh EGR has been deleted. I have been dynotuned with the ls1 intake and ORY through a cutout at 345/355 with stock cam. It is possible to hit 400 in my setup, but I'm just hoping for a sweet idle, a strong street car, and be respectable when i take it to the drag strip. Like ChrisM, it took me a LONG time to get everything together to get this done, so anything over 360 will make me smile!

Did you just install your cam? Did you degree the cam, or just install it dot-to-dot and hope for the best. How does the car idle on your old tune?

If this is directed to me, yes I installed it about 1 month ago and no I didn't degree it. I am 99.9% sure I hit the dots straight up...the HP numbers wouldn't be that high if I didn't. The car idled like **** on the old tune...it would die about half the time I came up to a stoplight with the clutch pushed in. It still likes to die when I first start it but once it finds idle after about 20 seconds its fine. This is all on a stock TB too.

yup, just got it installed. It does run like **** on the old tune, but i have an extra blade for my TB with the hole drilles out. adjusted the idel up just a tad bit. And it will idle @950 rpm in neutral.. but bucks and syrges real bad in gear. It is also running extremely RICH.. but the cam souds so freaking awsome at a 950 idle, i cant wait to hear it tomorrow after the tune and we set it to 800 rom.

That is why I love FMS cams, I have all the bolt ons,Pacesetters with an ORY and 918's. My numbers are in the sig and that is in complete street trim, only lost 5hp with the cutout closed.
