AC delco pf 44 vs pf 46
I noticed when changing the oil in the GTO they use a pf 44 and my Camaro uses a pf 46 - anyone know what the difference is?

The PF44 is larger than the PF46, more filtering media? If your going by the change oil light on the camaro I question using a smaller filter. There is no measuring the oil or filter quality its just a computer est. when you should change your oil, so will a smaller filter make a difference. I started buying a non-AC product to get a PF44 style still. (like AC filters) The filter is the weak link in an oil change with syn. oil, all fun and games till your in by-pass mode.
Anyone have some info on the difference.

Thanks all. They are the same size, and thread. I change the oil every 3000 so the extra filtering is not an issue. I have several of the 46s and just wanted to make sure they were interchangeable.
