Default Need some opinions??

I am going to buy some new parts for the car. My question is, which do you think I should go with. Heads and cam package(heads are complete AFR's) or cam, nx maf kit, and suspension. This is assuming that I am getting a good deal on the heads and cam package. I am looking to get in the 6's in the 1/8. I can't make my mind up and I am looking for your opinions. Thanks in advance

the cheapest way to go fast is to spray it. H&C are nice for a daily driver; the power is always there. In either case to get into the 6's you'll need some good rubber, so make you budget $$ for slicks.

I sprayed my LT1 and didn't really like it because you didn't have the power all the time. I have heads/cam on my LS1 and love it. Power all the time without having to refill a bottle.

Well, my opinion has always been - make sure you can control what you have (power wise) ......that would lead you to upgrading the suspension.

But, since you've mentioned that the 1/4 mile is your desire, while suspension is important, at the "base" level you're better off with the heads/cam and tune route.

Well, 1/8 mile is the only track we have close, but it will see the 1/4 quite a few times. Suspension was my next mod, but I have run up on this deal with the heads and cam that is a great deal. I figure that I should get in on this while I have the money and then I can piece together the suspension a little at a time. With slicks and stock suspension, do you think it would get some descent 60ft's with the heads and cam? I know that it won't be spectacular or anything, but if I can get descent 60ft's with the head/cam package, then that is probably what I will do.

Lower control arms with relocation bracketrs are the most effective suspension parts for your 60 foot. Get a set, you'll really notice a difference.
