01-02 LS1's....

did the 01-02 LS1's come with a LS6 oil pump?

I thought all '01+ had the same oil pump, clutch hydralics,valvesprings, intake manifold and....... gasoline!!!

I thought the oil pumps were different? Maybe just diff part #'s?

2001 LS1 Oil pump part # 12556436

LS6 Oil Pump part # 12586665

did a cam swap on a 01 and we removed the pump and i took down the pt# and cross referenced it and it came up as an ls6 pump :dunno:

probaby jus GM's usual bullshit of having a bazillon part numbers for the same part.
