5900 rpm is only 500 rpm higher than where the stock cam peaks. Almost any aftermarket cam will peak above 6000 rpm. Stock rev limit is at 6200, so why not go at least that high? Even 6500 would be conservative enough.
your car is not even setup for a cam yet. stick with full bolt ons. Trending Topics

You should have your tranny & engine checked since it has high miles .
But if you're looking for a big boost in 1/4 mile performance, a good stall TC goes a LONG way.

That's what we have a rev limiter for. Your bottom end is pretty damn strong, rod bolts are the weak link.
