Compression ratio???

Compression ratio???

Trying to figure out my compression ratio.

I have a 3.905 bore. stock graphite gaskets(97-98), stock 5.3 heads (unshaved) and diamond flat tops #11502 with a -2 cc reliefs and 1.315" comp height.

taking your bore and if your heads are 68cc head, gasket thickness is 0.040, head gasket volume 7.85cc, piston down bore @ tdc is 0.00 you should be close to 10.37 compresion ratio. Hope this helped

your way off, 5.3's have a 61cc chamber unmilled. stock deck height is pistons out the hole .004 - .008 (-.008 per GM).

How about H.V.+S.V. divided by H.V. = C.R. Good Luck

Read sticky above by Tin indain post number 26 has better info.
