Default Comments on new mtor combo please...

Parts are now stating to arrive for the new motor. Can I get some feedback from you guys on this one. Keep in mind this is a ORR car NOT a drag car. High RPM's and longevity are key.

346 c.i. LS1
13.99:1 compression
CAM:243/256 572/572 110+0 lsa
Compstar 6.125 rods
Diomand 3.903 10cc domed pistons w/ total seal rings(coated)
Stock nitrated crank
MTI Stage 2R LS6 heads (same heads off old motor)
LSX 90m throttle body and intake manifold
QTP 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 long tube headers w/ high velocity merge collectors out a Dr. Gas boom tube.

Good possibility this motor will get a dry sump thrown on it. Conservative guess on hp......I am going REAL conservative w/ 430rwhp and spinning around 7500. I dont want to get my hopes up to much and then get kicked in the nuts when Igo to the dyno.

Whadya think?

Holy crap man! That's going to be a pretty wicked 346. The only thing I'm wondering about is if that cam will peak too soon to be really effective at 7500rpm.

More than likely its going to have jesel stuff on it. I could get away with running stockers with this cam but dont trust them on the extended RPM runs.

It "should" peak right around 6 grand. I wont be shifting until the 7-7500 range. Cruising RPM will be 6-7000 rpm

dynamic is right around 10.5 maybe a tad higher. It is a grand am cup cam if that helps anything. Asymetrical lobes on this one.

Yeah thats what they cc'ed out as. tested with my own burret kit. Factory GM gasket. CR is going to be closer to 13.7. I forgot that the 13.99 was with the Lunati 12cc domed pistons.

This is the "budget" combo. So far I have been able to dig parts up pretty damn cheap. Not quite what I wanted. It will still be a race gas only motor though.

The next combo will be the one I go for 200mph with. This one just has to keep me moving at 180mph.
