Default Morel Lifter users any problems/issues?

I am swapping shortblocks soon and talking with my cam grinder, researching here and else where, Morels seem to be exactly what I need to run. I searched and havent found anyone reporting issues with them so thought maybe I'd ask to make sure, fitment, pre-load (nothing like Comp Rs from my research), bleedout, or just an excellent drop in replacement?
Thanks

Charlie

I just received more info on a back to back test of the Morels vs the popular hydraulic roller lifters.

Pretty amazing!

Sometime very soon I'll take the info from the fax and do a text file for review but suffice to say a lot more rpm potential before float and HP loss...

Told y'all these things rock!

I got a set of Morel solid Lifters sitting in a box in my room. Great looking piece and the price was awesome. However I bought them from a Non Sponsor.

The 402 we just built used them. I'll never use another lifter. Excellent stability at high rpms.

Why are the Morel lifters better than the Comp R's? I'm curious cause I just baught a set of Comp R's. I went with the Comp lifters because that is what AFR recommended when you go with the 8019 spring upgrade.

I know, APE, HPE, Rapid, Racetech,Speed Demon, and Thunder all have Morels. As far as sponsors go. FTI also has them. Ed, is that the testing where the Morels went to 7300 rpm with 140# seat pressure, 360# open with no float?

We are keeping them in stock as much as we can but they sell very fast. They also have an excellent Solid Roller lifter for the LS1 I am using as well.

Do you have to use adjustable rocker arms with the morels like the comp Rs?

Matt ^, no. The Morels are not pre-load sensitive and from everyone testing them etc they are HIGH Quality pieces.

Do the hydraulic lifters have a longer (taller) body like the morel solid lifters do? That could come in real handy with small base circle cams and stock lifter trays.

I can tell you sometime next week but all our hydraulics are gone now and we are waiting them to return. We should have a set here already but it's already sold too. I am getting more of them.
