looking @ piston coatings..... dont get it?

looking @ piston coatings..... dont get it? Well I looked @ polydyn.com and techlinecoatings.com and I liked what I read on techlinecoatings but how would this stuff actually work? It seems to me like it wouldn't actually be reliable. Does Jet-hot offer a piston coating? I looked on their website and didnt see anything(maybe I didnt look hard enough).
Where do the shops on this board have their parts coated? I got some Diamond flat tops and wasn't considering coating at the time of purchase but now its an idea.
I was thinking about ordering the techline CBC1 coating and the DFL1 trying them. Have any of you guys used these products? Were you happy with the results? I have seen the Mahle coated pistons and I liked them but I read somewhere that you can coat just the top of the pistons, which is what I want to do.

I have bought and used the Techline products, they are reasonably priced and easy to apply. Thermal barrier coatings are great for the high heat areas like the combustion chamber but I don't see much use for it on the rest of the piston. The dry lube film is great for the skirts because it prevents skuffing. There is another techline product that promotes oil run-off and is good on all the internal engine surfaces to help speed the oil return to the pan.
I use www.embee.com they have an awesome coating. It's a modified hard anodize that makes the piston very strong and doesn't wear off and then they ceramic the tops. I think this is the best. Ask for Dave or Jeff. I think it's called EPC-102. Good luck. Dave

I have used Polydyn coatings on quite a few LS1 builds with good luck. I have also used some of the Dart coatings as well. I would recommend either one.
